Darren is an accomplished, dynamic leader who founded  Nectar, X-Naut, and BreathDirect. He is committed to improving the world through the synthesis of technology, science, and art. Under Darren’s leadership, Nectar is leveraging the latest advances in cutting-edge technology to transform medical device development and design. 

As part of his commitment to lead with purpose, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Darren mobilized his team and launched BreathDirect. They designed the BDR-19™ ventilator to respond to the immediate need for ventilators and received Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA. 

With his extensive experience, Darren advises clients on solid technology strategies while assuring that their needs are met throughout development, manufacturing, and beyond.

James has been part of the Nectar team for over seven years. He began his design career in the automotive industry, working for Daimler and Tesla before moving into product design. 

At Nectar, James oversees ID/UI/UX and ensures that our teams follow all user-centered design best practices. He works with our clients and partners on human factors strategy for FDA, international human factors submissions, and all aspects of the usability engineering process.

Toska is an organized, driven university student currently in her fourth year of medical school at St George’s University of London. She has a First-Class Honors degree in Biomedical Science. She boasts an excellent educational record, advanced interpersonal skills, and passion for healthcare.

She is a seasoned writer, with over five years’ experience producing a large turnover of high-quality scientific and medical publications. 

Over the years, she has fine-tuned her writing skills, transpiring in the ability to produce clear, concise pieces of work that can be understood by the public.
